Project by Project’s Plate by Plate LA 2015
Had a great time at this weekend’s Plate by Plate LA 2015 event. I officially covered the event for Eater LA last year (with a similar follow-up here on my blog), and I’ve decided to provide coverage for it again unofficially this year via an Eater LA forum post. I reported on some snippets of news there, but I’m sharing some of my favorite bites of the night here!
There were a few dishes I really enjoyed that my camera failed to capture (the lighting for the event was nice for ambiance but horrible for photography), including Pine & Crane‘s wood ear salad and charcuterie by chef Gavin Mills at Cucina Rustica (soon to be Miro). Apologies for not being able to feature those dishes.

Hazelnut S'mores, graham cracker cookie, chocolate hazelnut ganache, brûléed marshmallow topping, hazelnut caramel. Delicious bite, and interesting lighting at this event.
